(CSFP – Commodities Supplemental Food Program)
Seniors 60 years and older whose gross (before deductions) monthly household income is at or below the guidelines below can also qualify for an additional box of monthly food from the Durango Food Bank. Typical items included are cheese, rice, milk, canned fruits, cereal, juice canned vegetable and peanut butter. Applications must be completed in person during our regular business hours.
Boxes can be picked up at the Food Bank during regular operating hours anytime beginning the 3rd Tuesday of every month. Boxed not picked up prior to the last day of any month will be forfeited.
If picking up your monthly box is a hardship for you, you may authorize a designated proxy to pick up a box on your behalf. You must complete and return the approved USDA Proxy Form. Proxy Forms will remain active for 1 year unless revoked.
YOU MUST BRING:
- Proof of residency (ex. Drivers’ license, rental agreement, utility bill etc.),
- Proof of your age (60 or older)
